1. Can you tell us briefly about yourself?
I am 27 years old and I live and work in one of the most beautiful cities in the world, London. I work as a research scientist, doing a lot of work in infection and cancer research, which is really exciting and rewarding. Also, I am a huge fashion and beauty lover. I live and breathe fashion and I spend a lot of time studying the latest fashion and beauty trends, styling outfits and trying different things in beauty and styling to figure out what works and what doesn’t.
2. What is your daily beauty/scent routine?
I always start my day by cleansing my skin and applying toner, serum and moisturizer. Then I apply my makeup using soft browns and nude lips for an everyday look. Before I leave home, I select the appropriate perfume for the occasion (work, coffee, lunch, evening event etc.), I apply perfume and hand moisturizer and put travel size versions in by bag and I am ready to go!
3. What are your beauty tips?
Always wear SPF - it is the best thing you can do for your skin. I also wear a different perfume for different occasions and different times of the year. Not all scents are appropriate at all times and having a signature scent does not work for me. Finally investing in a good lip stain - it is the perfect beauty product! You apply it in the morning and it stays there no matter what for the entire day no matter how much you eat or drink.
4. What is your ultimate addiction?
Perfumes, lipsticks and coffee - I can never have enough!
5. What is a fashion faux pas that you assume?
I do not believe in fashion faux pas to be honest. We live in a time when creativity and diversity are celebrated. Most recent trends are inspired by faux pas of the past and they look really modern, fresh and beautiful.
6. Are you a workaholic or a chill out person?
Definitely workaholic - I am working 15-16 hours a day on any given day and I really enjoy it!
7. What is your stress relief?
Music and Harry Potter audiobooks. I spend a good 10 hours a day listening to one of the other.
8. Are you a breakfast, lunch or dinner person? What is your ideal meal?
For me, there is nothing better than brunch. I live for English breakfast, pancakes, poached eggs on avocado, waffles, you name it. Unfortunately, I am a night owl and can never eat in the morning so I start my day with brunch.
9. What is your signature scent ingredient?
I love vanilla and musks combined with a wood ingredient to give a warm, powdery scent for the winter. For the summer, peonies!
10. What made you fall in love with perfumes?
I think this is my grandma’s influence - she would never leave her room without putting perfume on. She would wake up, do her makeup, apply a bit of perfume on her neck and then spray the brush with perfume and brush her hair. She used to always say that a truly elegant woman should look and smell elegantly.
11. If you can create your ideal scented product, what would it be?
I would love a hair perfume product which is also moisturizing for the hair and lasts the whole day to wear on top of my normal perfume. A lot of people choose to spray a bit of their regular perfume on their hair and it can make your hair really dry so I tend not to do that.
12. This is a space to feel free and creative. You can share anything you would like.
My secret ambition is to launch my own clothing brand. Hopefully one day I will make it!
